Wytec Secures Major Government Contract for AI-Powered Gunshot Detection System

Texas-based telecommunications company Wytec International (OTCQB:WYTC) has secured a Master Services Agreement (MSA) to deploy its AI-powered gunshot detection system across more than 170 US cities and 50 counties. The contract, awarded through the TXShare Cooperative Purchasing Program, will make the technology available to various public entities including police departments, school districts, and hospitals.

The significance of this contract lies in the system's remarkable accuracy rates - 94% true positive and 95% true negative - achieved through over 750,000 laboratory tests. This level of precision could substantially improve emergency response times and public safety across participating jurisdictions. The technology combines smart sensors, Private LTE, and in-building cellular technology, potentially setting a new standard for gunshot detection systems.

Wytec has partnered with Trabus Technologies for AI/ML software development and Lemko Corporation for deploying 4G and 5G wireless technologies. These partnerships strengthen the company's position in the public safety technology sector, particularly as gun violence continues to be a significant concern across the United States.
