Therma Bright Secures Major Distribution Deals for Medical Compression Device as Market Expands

Therma Bright Inc. has secured substantial purchase orders and distribution agreements for its Venowave VW5 medical compression device, positioning the company for significant growth in the expanding compression therapy market. The company recently received orders for 1,850 units in January alone, demonstrating strong market demand for its Medicare-approved mobile compression system.

The company's recent success follows the October 2023 milestone of receiving a permanent Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) code from Medicare, making the Venowave VW5 the only reimbursable mobile mechanical compression system available in the US under code E0683. This regulatory achievement has attracted major distributors, including DME Authority, which placed an order for 1,750 units worth approximately $1.43 million.

A signed letter of intent with DME Authority could lead to minimum inventory purchases of $6 million in the first half of 2025, with similar commitments expected for the second half of the year. Additionally, Valor Medical, another national distributor, has ordered 100 units after successful pilot testing, with plans for regular future orders to meet their reported 100 daily doctor referrals for vascular compression therapy.

The market implications are significant, as the global compression therapy market, currently valued at $4.18 billion, is projected to reach $6.72 billion by 2033.
