Read The Future Expands Space Education Initiative with New Leadership

Read The Future, a workforce development nonprofit, has unveiled new leadership for its Sprout Space Education Program, signaling an ambitious effort to cultivate future space exploration talent among young learners. Charlotte Simunek, appointed as Executive Director, and Kariim Sharief, named Program Manager, will guide the organization's mission to inspire K-8 students in Arizona about space exploration and STEM careers.

The Sprout Space Education Program represents a strategic approach to workforce development, targeting elementary and middle school students to develop critical skills and curiosity about space-related careers. By integrating STEAM principles into educational programming, the initiative seeks to prepare students for potential opportunities in the rapidly expanding space economy.

Simunek, currently the Director of Eutopia's European Undergraduate Academic Program, brings extensive global education experience to her voluntary role. Sharief, an international graduate student at the Thunderbird School of Global Management and former art teacher, will manage daily program operations and community engagement.

As SB Global CEO Shelli Brunswick noted, such initiatives are crucial for inspiring future generations to explore technological frontiers and consider broader possibilities in space exploration.
