Powermoon Productions has selected acclaimed Director of Photography Yukiko Cho to lead the visual storytelling for its upcoming short film 'Silent Half', a project that promises to explore complex themes of coexistence and human adaptation.

The film, directed by multi-award-winning filmmaker Sara Eustáquio, is set in a world where a virus has transformed half of humanity into non-threatening zombies. Cho's extensive festival experience, including nominations at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival and awards from the Los Angeles Movie & Music Video Awards, positions her to bring a nuanced visual approach to the narrative.

With a cast featuring Lee Chen from HBO's VEEP and emerging talent Yaoyao Qi, 'Silent Half' represents an innovative approach to the zombie genre. The project goes beyond traditional survival narratives to examine how humanity might adapt to a radically transformed social landscape.

Cho's recent work, including her short film 'KANOJO' and sci-fi drama 'One Sun', demonstrates her ability to craft visually compelling stories that challenge audience expectations. Her involvement suggests 'Silent Half' will offer a sophisticated, thought-provoking exploration of societal transformation.

Pre-production is scheduled to begin January 1, 2027, with principal photography planned for July 19-23, 2027. The film is being produced by Rachel Ma, an executive producer with multiple international film award recognitions.
