The Centre for Neuro Skills (CNS) will expand its Texas operations with a new clinic in Plano, responding to increasing population growth and demand for specialized brain injury treatment. The approximately 20,000-square-foot facility at 1649 Dallas Parkway is scheduled to open to patients in winter 2025-2026.

CNS CEO David Harrington emphasized the strategic importance of the new location, noting the significant population growth in North Dallas and the clinic's potential to serve patients from Texas and neighboring states like Oklahoma. The Plano facility will be CNS's fifth clinic in Texas, reinforcing the organization's commitment to advanced post-acute brain injury care.

The new clinic will offer comprehensive rehabilitation services, including vision therapy, neurobehavior treatment, cognitive retraining, speech therapy, and physical and occupational therapy. Advanced treatment technologies such as the ZeroG® Gait and Balance System and Bioness Integrated Therapy System will support patient recovery.

The expansion comes at a critical time, with traumatic brain injury (TBI) presenting significant healthcare challenges. According to the Brain Injury Association of America, 2.9 million Americans visit emergency departments annually due to TBI. In Texas specifically, 144,000 individuals sustain a brain injury each year, with more than 381,000 Texans living with TBI-related disabilities.

By providing individualized counseling, family support, and opportunities to participate in cutting-edge brain injury research, CNS aims to address the complex medical and personal challenges associated with neurological injuries. The clinic's strategic location near Dallas North Tollway and area airports will enhance accessibility for patients and families seeking specialized rehabilitation services.
