Conservative Group Files Multiple Complaints Against Rep. Jasmine Crockett, Alleging Ethical and Legal Violations

The Coolidge Reagan Foundation (CRF) has filed comprehensive complaints against Representative Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), alleging serious ethical and legal violations that potentially undermine democratic processes. The complaints, submitted simultaneously to the Federal Election Commission, Office of Congressional Ethics, and Department of Justice, outline accusations of voter intimidation, fraudulent campaign contributions, and misconduct in office.

The Department of Justice complaint centers on a social media video depicting Crockett and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez attacking a Republican voter, which CRF argues violates federal voter intimidation statutes. CRF is calling for an investigation under 52 U.S.C. § 10307(b), suggesting the video and Crockett's rhetoric could constitute a threat to voter safety.

The Federal Election Commission complaint focuses on potential campaign finance irregularities. CRF alleges that Crockett's campaign accepted suspicious contributions through ActBlue, including over 2,500 transactions attributed to an elderly retiree from Texas, totaling more than $21,000. The organization suggests this could represent an elaborate money-laundering scheme designed to funnel illegal campaign contributions.

Additionally, the Office of Congressional Ethics complaint argues that Crockett's public statements and behavior violate House Rule XXIII, which mandates ethical conduct by congressional members. The foundation contends her actions fail to reflect creditably on the U.S. House of Representatives.

CRF leadership, including Chairman Shaun McCutcheon and Counsel Dan Backer, emphasized the significance of these complaints. They argue that the allegations represent a broader threat to electoral integrity and democratic norms, demanding immediate and thorough investigation into the reported misconduct.
