Golden Cariboo Discovers Promising Gold Mineralization, Drill Hole Terminated Prematurely

Summary

Golden Cariboo Resources has encountered significant visible gold mineralization in a drill hole at the Halo zone, despite technical challenges forcing early termination. The discovery suggests potential for substantial gold deposits in the Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property.

Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. has reported a promising development in its ongoing exploration of the Halo zone, located near Hixon, British Columbia. The company's current drill hole, QGQ24-21, was terminated prematurely within a visible gold (VG) bearing mineralized zone after encountering significant geological indicators of potential gold deposits.

The drill hole successfully intersected 53 meters of continuous, strong sericite-iron carbonate altered greenstones, featuring an intense stockwork of quartz-carbonate veins with multiple occurrences of visible gold. The hole was stopped at a depth of 310.18 meters due to technical instability, with the deepest visible gold occurrence found just 1.8 meters from the termination point.

Geologically, this discovery is significant because it suggests robust gold mineralization within the Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property. The presence of visible gold in the drill core indicates potential for substantial mineral resources, which could be economically valuable for the company's exploration efforts.

The drill core has been fully logged and is currently being prepared for sampling. Samples will be sent to ALS Canada Ltd. for comprehensive gold and multi-element assays, which will provide more detailed insights into the mineral composition and potential economic viability of the site.

Golden Cariboo plans to continue exploration by drilling the next hole approximately along the trace of QGQ24-21, targeting the zone up-dip and to the north. This strategic approach suggests the company's commitment to thoroughly investigating the area's mineral potential.
