Ladew Gardens Honors Founder Leith Symington Griswold with Named Director Role

Ladew Topiary Gardens has announced the naming of its Director of Horticulture and Facilities position in honor of Leith Symington Griswold, a key figure in the garden's founding and preservation. Griswold, who passed away in 2013, was instrumental in transforming Harvey Ladew's private gardens into a public nonprofit organization, ensuring its survival and accessibility for future generations.

Emily Emerick, the Anne and Robert Kinsley Executive Director of Ladew Gardens, highlighted Griswold's pivotal role, stating her leadership and philanthropy were crucial in saving and shaping the gardens. The naming of the director position after Griswold serves as a tribute to her deep connection and contributions to Ladew, reflecting her literal and figurative roots in the garden's history.
