Lime Rides in Atlanta Surpass 1 Million Mark in First Half of 2025

Atlanta's embrace of sustainable transportation has reached a new milestone, with Lime reporting over 1 million rides in the first half of 2025, a 45% increase from the same period in 2024. June alone witnessed 205,348 trips, marking an 18% growth year over year. This surge in ridership underscores the city's growing preference for micromobility solutions, even during the peak of summer.

Carol Antunez, Senior Manager of Government Relations at Lime, remarked on the significance of this achievement, stating, 'The remarkable growth we’ve seen in Atlanta, now hitting one million rides in the first half of 2025, showcases how deeply integrated Lime has become into the fabric of daily life here.' This success has spurred further investment in the city, including the introduction of new Gen LimeBikes and Lime Glider, as well as community initiatives like Pride campaigns and First Ride Academies.

Lime's commitment to inclusivity and community support was evident during Pride Month, with the company partnering with Out Front Theatre and Schaf Shop to celebrate LGBTQIA+ voices and businesses. These efforts not only promote visibility but also strengthen community bonds, reflecting Lime's broader mission to foster inclusive and welcoming spaces.

In May, Atlanta became the first U.S. city to launch LimeBike, Lime's newest e-bike model designed for accessibility. The introduction of LimeGliders further diversifies the city's micromobility options. Additionally, Lime's partnership with the Atlanta Beltline Partnership to offer no-cost First Ride Academies aims to educate riders on safe and effective use of e-bikes, enhancing accessibility for all.

Lime's environmental achievements are equally noteworthy, with a 66.8% reduction in company-wide carbon emissions intensity in 2024 from its 2019 baseline. This progress towards net-zero by 2030 is driven by sustainable practices across operations, from renewable energy use to recycling initiatives.
