Benihana Express Expands in Miami with Second Location

The ONE Group Hospitality has unveiled its newest Benihana Express location in Miami's Bayside Marketplace, signaling a robust expansion of its fast-casual hibachi concept. This opening, the second in Miami following the Brickell neighborhood debut earlier this year, is part of a multi-unit development agreement with franchisee Erick Passo. The restaurant introduces a modern, minimalist design with Japanese-inspired elements, offering a condensed version of the traditional Benihana teppanyaki experience in a fast-casual format.

Emanuel 'Manny' Hilario, CEO of The ONE Group, emphasized the strategic importance of Benihana Express and franchises in the company's growth. The new location, spanning 770 square feet, features an open kitchen concept that mirrors the energetic atmosphere of Benihana's full-service restaurants, now adapted for quicker service. The menu includes hibachi burritos, entrees, yakisoba bowls, and appetizers, all designed to deliver the brand's signature flavors in a more accessible setting.

Franchisee Erick Passo, also known for Black Market Miami and Ben's Pizza, expressed pride in the expansion, highlighting the opportunity to bring Benihana's beloved flavors to a broader audience in a fast-service environment. The Bayside Marketplace location will operate daily from 11 a.m. to midnight, with plans for a third Miami location and the brand's first West Coast operation in San Francisco slated for later this year.
