Sonepar has announced a strategic consolidation of its Midwest electrical distribution operations, merging Echo Electric, Springfield Electric, Richards Electric, Pepco, and Holt into a single entity operating under the Echo Electric brand. The new organization will represent over $1.2 billion in annual sales and employ 1,300 associates across Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio, Nebraska, and southern South Dakota.

The merger leverages the combined 400 years of industry experience to provide customers with expanded inventory, specialized expertise, and enhanced service capabilities. Chris Scarbrough, previously president of Springfield Electric, will lead the new Echo Electric organization, emphasizing a unified vision, culture, and strategy.

This consolidation marks Sonepar's sixth U.S. operation exceeding $1 billion in annual sales.
