Opawica Explorations Begins Drilling at High-Potential Bazooka Gold Property in Quebec

Opawica Explorations has commenced a drilling program at its Bazooka Project in Quebec's Abitibi gold belt, targeting 20 high-priority locations identified through collaborative analysis with ALS Geoanalytics. The drilling will be conducted by RJLL Forage Drilling, a regional expert with over 100 years of prospecting experience.

The Bazooka property is strategically located along the Cadillac-Larder Lake Break/Fault, a globally significant auriferous geological structure. Gold mineralization is concentrated in a 60-meter-wide zone characterized by quartz-carbonate-sericite and talc-chlorite schists, suggesting substantial exploration potential.

The project benefits from advantageous infrastructure, including direct road access and hydroelectric power, which helps minimize exploration costs. Its proximity to multiple active mines within a 7-kilometer radius further underscores the region's geological promise.

Opawica has already invested over $6 million in its assets since 2021, including two prior drilling programs and a comprehensive 384-line-kilometer geophysical survey. The company recently completed a successful private placement, raising $2.4 million to support ongoing exploration efforts.

Chief Executive Officer Blake Morgan emphasized the company's commitment to maximizing asset value and advancing its Rouyn-Noranda camp projects. The current drilling initiative represents a critical step in understanding the Bazooka property's geological potential and developing a comprehensive exploration strategy.
