Alsco Uniforms has committed significant resources to support wildfire recovery in Southern California, donating $50,000 to The Salvation Army and providing essential supplies to communities impacted by recent devastating fires. Throughout January 2025, 17 wildfires ravaged the Los Angeles metropolitan area and San Diego County, destroying entire communities and displacing thousands of residents.
The uniform and linen services company is demonstrating corporate social responsibility by not only providing financial support but also contributing critical supplies. In addition to the monetary donation, Alsco Uniforms has supplied over 8,000 face masks and partnered with the Dream Center to distribute laundry detergent to affected families.
Bob Steiner, Alsco Uniforms' CEO, emphasized the company's commitment to the communities they serve, stating that Southern California businesses have supported them for decades, and now they are reciprocating during a challenging time. The Salvation Army will utilize the donation to provide immediate relief, including food and shelter, while also developing long-term recovery strategies.
The Dream Center will incorporate the donated laundry detergent into care packages for displaced families, helping them begin the rebuilding process. This comprehensive approach addresses both immediate needs and supports longer-term community recovery efforts.
