A team of 40 climbers from Body Routers Fitness will join the American Lung Association's Fight For Air Climb at loanDepot park on March 9, aiming to raise $10,000 for lung disease research and prevention efforts.
Led by Coach Ray Irizarry, the fitness group has consistently been a top performer in the annual event. This year's team includes notable climbers like Karina Arredondo-Irizarry, Rebecca Christina, and Josue Lopez, who have previously placed in the top three of their respective climbing categories.
A significant highlight of this year's climb is the participation of Lt. Jeanette Harrington, a Miami-Dade Fire Rescue firefighter who has dedicated her climbing efforts to those affected by lung disease. Harrington has been recognized as the Lung Association's top fundraising firefighter and is approaching a lifetime fundraising milestone of $100,000.
The event, taking place at the home of the Miami Marlins, welcomes participants of all fitness levels. Climbers can race to the top or proceed at their own pace, with the primary goal of supporting critical lung health initiatives.
