Electrical Cable Supply (ECS) has launched a tree-planting initiative called 'Reel Growth' to support global reforestation efforts, committing to plant one tree for every order placed between March 3 and April 30, 2025, with a maximum of 7,500 trees.
The campaign reflects ECS's commitment to reducing its environmental impact, particularly in an industry that relies heavily on cable reels. By partnering with Evertreen, a reforestation organization, the company aims to translate its operational practices into meaningful ecological action.
ECS President Christy Morrison emphasized the importance of understanding and mitigating the company's environmental footprint. The initiative not only supports tree planting but also seeks to inspire customers and industry partners to engage in sustainable practices.
The project is supported by industry partners PTI Cables, Domtech, and Techspan, highlighting a collaborative approach to environmental responsibility. By linking business activities directly to tree planting, ECS demonstrates how companies can take tangible steps toward combating climate change and supporting ecosystem restoration.
