Shannon Wilson, vice president of population health and equity at Priority Health, has been selected as the 2025 RISE Trailblazer, a prestigious recognition honoring her innovative work in healthcare equity and population health management.
Wilson was chosen from a competitive field of seven finalists, with the winner determined by a vote from the RISE community. The award, formerly known as the Dr. Martin L. Block Award for Innovation & Excellence, celebrates individuals who introduce groundbreaking ideas and drive meaningful change in healthcare.
In her role at Priority Health, Wilson oversees quality improvement initiatives across Medicare, Medicaid, commercial, and individual business lines. Her leadership has been particularly noteworthy in developing and executing population health and health equity strategies.
Known for her expertise at the intersection of health and race, Wilson has led multiple initiatives aimed at improving healthcare experiences for vulnerable populations. Her work extends beyond Priority Health, as she serves on several boards including Meijer Gardens, Children's Healing Center, and Our Kitchen Table.
