Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. has uncovered two substantial gold anomalies north of the previously known Halo zone at its Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property in central British Columbia, potentially signaling new opportunities for mineral exploration.
A geological analysis of MMI soil samples covering approximately 1.7 kilometers by 0.5 kilometers revealed two distinct gold targets. The first, located at the eastern edge of the survey area, spans 240 meters north by 135 meters east and remains open for further investigation. The second anomaly represents a complex gold-copper-silver zone with additional trace mineral signatures, covering at least 200 meters north by 500 meters east.
These discoveries are significant because they extend known mineralization beyond previous drilling campaigns and provide fresh exploration opportunities. The identified anomalies are strategically positioned near existing drill holes, suggesting potential continuity of gold-bearing geological structures.
David Mark, the project's geologist, recommended expanding trenching and drilling activities to thoroughly investigate these newly identified zones during the 2025 exploration season. The MMI soil sampling technique has proven valuable in correlating subsurface mineral indicators with known gold mineralization in the area.
