The DFW Car & Toy Museum is set to open its doors on April 1, presenting automotive enthusiasts and families with an extensive collection of more than 200 iconic vehicles. Located in North Fort Worth, the museum promises a comprehensive journey through automotive history, featuring free admission and a dog-friendly environment.
A highlight of the museum's collection is a rare 1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint, which exemplifies the intricate engineering and design of classic European sports cars. The vehicle, originally delivered to the United Kingdom and later transferred to Switzerland, represents a pinnacle of automotive craftsmanship with its performance-focused modifications.
The museum, founded by Ron Sturgeon in the 1980s, has evolved from its previous location in Haltom City to a new 150,000-square-foot facility. Visitors can explore an array of meticulously restored automobiles that showcase the evolution of automotive design and technology.
Beyond its impressive vehicle collection, the museum offers additional services including climate-controlled car storage and event facilities for car clubs and corporate meetings. Operating Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, the museum provides an accessible and engaging experience for automotive enthusiasts of all ages.
