The DFW Car & Toy Museum is set to launch in Fort Worth, offering automotive enthusiasts a comprehensive exploration of vehicular history through an extensive collection of rare automobiles and vintage collectibles. The museum will feature over 200 classic cars and more than 3,000 toys, providing visitors with a unique journey through automotive innovation.
A highlight of the museum's collection is the 1991 Acura NSX, a supercar that represents a pivotal moment in automotive engineering. With just over 3,500 miles on its odometer, this pristine red vehicle showcases advanced technological features that were revolutionary during its era. The NSX's mid-mounted 3.0-liter V6 engine, producing 270 horsepower, was developed with input from Formula One legend Ayrton Senna, demonstrating its high-performance pedigree.
The museum offers free admission and welcomes well-behaved dogs, making it an accessible destination for families and car enthusiasts. Visitors can explore an array of vehicles including classic muscle cars, European exotics, vintage race cars, and historical American automobiles. The facility, located in North Fort Worth, spans 150,000 square feet and provides climate-controlled car storage and event spaces.
Operating Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, the museum represents more than just a collection of vehicles. It offers a comprehensive experience that celebrates automotive design, technological innovation, and cultural history across multiple generations.
