Technology companies Synaptics and VBox Communications announced a strategic partnership to develop next-generation digital broadcasting solutions based on ATSC 3.0 NextGen TV technologies, targeting broadcasters, enterprises, and government agencies.
The collaboration centers on leveraging Synaptics' VS640 system on chip (SoC) with digital rights management (DRM) support, enabling broadcasters to explore new revenue streams while reducing operational costs. The joint solution will incorporate advanced artificial intelligence capabilities to enhance service offerings.
By combining their technological expertise, the companies aim to accelerate the adoption of NextGen TV technologies across multiple industries, including broadcast television, enterprise data distribution, public safety, and government communications.
VBox Communications CEO Shlomo Turgeman characterized the partnership as a significant advancement in digital broadcasting, emphasizing their commitment to delivering innovative, reliable, and cost-effective solutions. Synaptics' John Weil highlighted the collaboration as an opportunity to enable more interactive and enriched content experiences.
