Aston Bay Holdings Ltd. has outlined its upcoming 2025 exploration plans for the Storm Copper Project located in Nunavut, Canada, signaling a strategic approach to identifying and developing potential copper deposits in the region.
The exploration program will concentrate on the extensive 20-kilometer Midway-Storm-Tornado corridor, focusing on three primary prospects: Midway, Tornado, and Blizzard. These sites have already demonstrated visual copper sulfide mineralization within brecciated dolomites of the Allen Bay Formation.
A key component of the 2025 strategy involves assaying previously unsampled historic drill holes, which could provide additional insights into the area's mineral potential. The company will also deploy advanced geophysical techniques, including a Mobile Magneto-Telluric survey, to refine exploration targets and potentially identify deeper copper deposits across the project's 110-kilometer strike length.
The exploration efforts are being conducted under a 20/80 joint venture with American West Metals, with Aston Bay holding a carried interest until a mining decision is made. As part of the comprehensive assessment, the company plans to develop a Preliminary Economic Assessment focusing on near-surface mineralization.
This strategic exploration approach underscores the potential for significant copper discoveries in the Nunavut region and represents a methodical effort to unlock the geological potential of the Storm Copper Project.
