ESGold Corp. has uncovered a promising exploration target at its Montauban Project in Quebec after reviewing historical geophysical survey data. The company identified a large-scale, high-conductivity geophysical anomaly in the southwestern portion of its expanded 255-claim property, which covers 13,116 hectares.
The newly discovered zone remains undrilled and presents a high-priority target due to its strong conductive and magnetic signature, characteristics typically associated with buried sulfide-rich Volcanogenic Massive Sulfide (VMS) environments. This finding represents a strategic shift for ESGold, expanding its focus beyond near-term production through tailings reprocessing to potential district-scale mineral discovery.
ESGold is currently finalizing the first comprehensive 3D geological model of the project, integrating multiple data sources including a 2015 VTEM (Versatile Time Domain Electromagnetic) survey, Total Magnetic Intensity (TMI) data, over 950 historical drillholes, and upcoming Ambient Noise Tomography (ANT) survey results. This integrated approach will help guide future exploration and drilling strategies.
