Previously spending over 2,000 hours gaming, Monteiro used online educational platforms like Khan Academy, freeCodeCamp, and Coursera to dramatically reshape his career trajectory. By leveraging these resources, he developed critical skills in English, artificial intelligence, and applied mathematics.
His remarkable pivot is evidenced by significant achievements, including acceptance into the highly competitive Silicon Valley Fellowship Program, where less than 5% of applicants are selected. Monteiro has also delivered lectures on artificial intelligence to medical professionals and published over 20 articles on AI and applied mathematics, accumulating more than 200,000 views.
Recognized as a Top Open Source Contributor for three consecutive years (2022-2024), Monteiro now serves as Vice Chair of his university's IEEE branch and contributes to global organizations.
