Storyshares and Noah Text have partnered to revolutionize reading accessibility by converting 36 books into a specially designed text format that helps struggling readers decode complex words more effectively. The collaboration leverages Noah Text's patented text display method, which is scientifically designed to make reading easier for students beyond third grade.
The partnership addresses a critical need in literacy education by providing books with enhanced text formatting that helps readers understand word structure. Noah Text's methodology, based on reading science, offers a visual scaffold that makes multisyllabic words more navigable for striving readers, those with dyslexia, and multilingual learners.
These specially formatted books will be distributed through multiple channels, including Noah Text's retail bookstore, Ingram's wholesaler network, and independent sales representatives targeting K12 school districts. The collaboration also offers free conversion tools for teachers and students, including a Chrome extension that transforms web pages into the accessible text format.
Notably, Noah Text can be incorporated into Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans for dyslexic students, providing an official accommodation to support reading development. The partnership represents a significant step toward making reading more accessible and engaging for students who traditionally struggle with grade-level texts.
