LaFleur Minerals Inc. has begun the permitting process for a 100,000-tonne surface bulk sample at its Swanson Gold Deposit in Quebec's Abitibi Gold Belt, signaling a strategic move toward potential gold production. The company plans to process the mineralized material at its fully permitted Beacon Gold Mill, located 50 kilometers from the project site.
The bulk sample initiative represents a critical step in evaluating the project's economic viability. With an existing indicated resource of 123,400 ounces of gold and an inferred resource of 64,500 ounces, the project holds significant potential for future development. LaFleur aims to generate near-term cash flow while simultaneously advancing exploration efforts.
The company's strategic approach includes restarting the Beacon Gold Mill and targeting gold production by the end of 2025. The Swanson Gold Project, spanning over 16,000 hectares, offers promising geological prospects and accessibility via road and rail, enhancing its development potential.
This initiative demonstrates LaFleur Minerals' commitment to systematically developing its gold assets in the resource-rich Abitibi Gold Belt. By conducting a bulk sample and potential subsequent scoping study, the company is methodically assessing the project's economic feasibility and positioning itself for potential future production.
