Goliath Resources Ltd., a partner of McEwen Mining Inc., has initiated a strategic underground exploration project at its Golddigger property in British Columbia's Golden Triangle. The company has contracted JDS Energy & Mining Inc. to evaluate the development of an underground exploration adit targeting the high-grade Bonanza Zone.
The proposed underground access aims to enable more efficient year-round drilling operations and provide critical geological confirmation of the mineral deposit. Preliminary drilling results have been promising, with drill hole GD-24-260 revealing significant gold mineralization, returning 34.52 grams per tonne gold equivalent over 39 meters, including intervals exceeding 130 grams per tonne gold equivalent.
By developing an underground adit, Goliath Resources can potentially streamline exploration efforts, reduce surface drilling constraints, and gain more direct insights into the geological structure of the Bonanza Zone. This approach could significantly improve understanding of the deposit's potential and enhance future resource estimation and mining strategies.
The project represents a strategic investment in advanced exploration techniques, demonstrating the mining industry's ongoing commitment to innovative approaches in mineral resource discovery and evaluation. Such methodical exploration could prove crucial in identifying and developing new gold resources in the mineral-rich Golden Triangle region of British Columbia.
