Gloria Bohan, founder and CEO of Omega World Travel, has been selected as a finalist for the Ernst & Young LLP (EY US) Entrepreneur Of The Year 2025 Mid-Atlantic Award. Bohan was chosen from among 36 finalists, representing the most innovative and impactful business leaders in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC.
As the leader of Omega World Travel, Bohan has transformed a one-person travel agency into a global full-service travel management company serving corporations, nonprofits, government agencies, and educational institutions. The company's diverse portfolio includes Cruise.com, a major online cruise booking platform, and Travtech, a travel technology development firm.
The Entrepreneur Of The Year program, now in its 40th year, recognizes business leaders who demonstrate exceptional entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, and community impact. Judges evaluated candidates based on their ability to create long-term value and drive economic growth.
Bohan's nomination reflects her commitment to continuous growth and innovation in the travel industry. Her approach emphasizes embracing technological advancements, maintaining a positive outlook, and fostering collaborative team environments.
Regional award winners will be announced on June 18 in Washington, DC. Successful recipients will become lifetime members of a distinguished alumni network and will be considered for the national Entrepreneur Of The Year awards in November.
This recognition underscores the significant role of women-owned businesses in driving economic innovation and the continued evolution of the travel management sector.
