ESGold Corp. has achieved a critical milestone in its path to mineral production with the successful delivery of Humphrey spiral concentrators to its Montauban site in Quebec. The new gravity separation circuit represents a strategic advancement in the company's operational capabilities, enabling processing of up to 1,000 tonnes of historic tailings per day.
The newly installed system is designed to produce a marketable mica concentrate while simultaneously recovering gold and silver. This development marks a tangible step toward ESGold's transition from an exploration company to a mineral producer, with CEO Paul Mastantuono targeting first production by the end of 2025.
The gravity separation circuit's implementation signals potential economic benefits for the company. By processing historic tailings, ESGold can extract value from previously unused mineral resources, demonstrating an innovative approach to resource recovery. The company's focus on sustainable mining practices at the Montauban property, located 80 kilometers west of Quebec City, positions it at the forefront of responsible mineral exploration.
An updated preliminary economic assessment is expected soon, which could provide additional insights into the project's financial potential and operational strategy. The milestone underscores ESGold's commitment to developing its Quebec-based assets with an emphasis on efficiency and environmental consciousness.
