Digital book readers now have greater flexibility with the release of BookFab Kobo Converter, a new software tool that allows users to remove digital rights management (DRM) restrictions from Kobo eBooks. Developed by multimedia software company DVDFab, the converter enables readers to transform protected eBooks into widely supported formats like EPUB, effectively eliminating compatibility barriers across different devices and reading platforms.
The software addresses a common frustration among digital book consumers: the inability to freely use purchased eBooks across multiple devices or reading applications. By automatically removing DRM protections, BookFab Kobo Converter gives users true ownership of their digital book purchases, allowing them to read, archive, and transfer eBooks without vendor-imposed limitations.
Key features of the converter include a built-in browser for direct Kobo account access, one-click conversion to EPUB format, and the ability to instantly create audiobooks from text. The tool supports Windows operating systems from Windows 7 through Windows 11 and requires minimal system resources, including 4GB of RAM and 40GB of hard disk space.
This release is part of DVDFab's expanding BookFab series, which launched in 2024 with a focus on providing users more control and flexibility in managing digital reading materials. The Kobo Converter joins similar tools for Kindle, signaling a broader trend toward user-empowered digital content consumption.
