Newsweek, in collaboration with Plant-A Insights Group, has announced the first-ever ranking of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Hispanics and Latinos 2025. This initiative underscores the critical role of diversity and inclusion in today's corporate environment, focusing on companies that have created environments where Hispanic and Latino employees can flourish. The list features 500 U.S.-based companies, including notable names such as Cedars-Sinai, Crocs, JetBlue, JPMorgan Chase, and Mercedes-Benz, recognized for their outstanding commitment to equity and cultural embrace.
The selection process was thorough, involving analysis of publicly available data, interviews with HR professionals, and surveys from over 47,000 Hispanic and Latino professionals, alongside more than 700,000 company reviews. This comprehensive approach ensures that the ranking reflects genuine workplace experiences and satisfaction levels among Hispanic and Latino employees. The study also utilized over 120 Key Performance Indicators from Aniline, assessing various aspects like leadership, integrity, compensation, and work-life balance, to provide a holistic view of each company's environment.
Hispanic Americans constitute a significant and rapidly expanding segment of the U.S. workforce, with more than 31.8 million individuals contributing to the civilian labor force in 2023, representing 19% of all workers. Their workforce participation has grown by 69% over the past two decades, a rate significantly higher than that of non-Hispanic groups. This demographic shift underscores the importance of recognizing and fostering workplaces that not only welcome but also empower Hispanic and Latino professionals.
Jennifer H. Cunningham, Editor-in-Chief of Newsweek, emphasized the list's purpose as a resource for job seekers looking for employers that value diversity and inclusion. Dev Pragad, Owner and CEO of Newsweek, highlighted the belief that diversity drives innovation and progress, expressing hope that the ranking would inspire more companies to cultivate inclusive and dynamic workplaces.
