The All Things Are Possible (ATAP) Foundation has launched Scout Troop 611 through a strategic partnership with Scouting America, creating a new values-driven program for youth in Willingboro, New Jersey. The troop will serve boys and girls ages 5-10, offering a comprehensive program focused on character development, leadership skills, and outdoor exploration in a safe and supportive environment.
Dr. Tiffani Worthy, Executive Director of the ATAP Foundation, emphasized the significance of this initiative, stating that the troop represents more than just an after-school activity—it serves as a pathway to purpose. The foundation's mission centers on empowering youth with essential tools for leadership, service, and success, making the Scouting America partnership a natural alignment of values and objectives.
The collaboration received strong endorsement from Patrick Linfors, Scout Executive/CEO of the Garden State Council, who highlighted the shared commitment between both organizations to youth health and well-being. The partnership aims to foster character development, citizenship, personal fitness, and leadership skills among participating children, addressing critical needs in youth development.
The concept for Troop 611 emerged during ATAP's existing programs, including their after-school initiative and Summer Empowerment Experience, where students participated in live Scouting demonstrations. The overwhelmingly positive response from children engaging in teamwork, problem-solving, and outdoor skills activities demonstrated the program's immediate appeal and effectiveness.
Through this partnership, Troop 611 will provide numerous benefits to participants, including character and confidence building, essential life and leadership skill development, hands-on community service opportunities, outdoor adventures, creative learning experiences, and the cultivation of responsibility and belonging. These elements combine to create a comprehensive developmental program that extends beyond traditional badge-earning activities.
Linfors further emphasized the broader impact of this collaboration, noting that the partnership between Scouting America and ATAP Foundation works toward developing caring, happy, and successful adults who will positively contribute to families, workplaces, and communities. The initiative represents a strategic investment in the future leadership and character of Burlington County's youth population.
Enrollment is currently open for children ages 5-10 residing in Willingboro and surrounding communities. Parents and guardians can learn more and register online at https://www.scouting.org/join. The program's establishment marks a significant step in expanding youth development opportunities in the region through the combined resources and expertise of both organizations.
