Sola Salon Studios, a leading salon studio franchise with more than 700 locations nationwide, has leased 7,952 square feet at 1200 White Street, an adaptive reuse mixed-use development in Atlanta's West End. The new location, targeting an early 2026 opening, will feature 41 customized salon suites for various health and beauty specialties, providing local professionals with fully-equipped private studios and comprehensive business support services.
The development at 1200 White Street represents a significant transformation of a 211,585-square-foot warehouse building into a mixed-use destination offering retail, restaurant, creative office, and experiential concepts. Kelley Morrissey, franchise owner of the Sola Salon location, emphasized the importance of being part of this adaptive reuse project, stating that it provides beauty professionals not only with business space but also the opportunity to benefit from neighborhood transformation and convenient access to the Atlanta Westside BeltLine.
This expansion follows the recent opening of Dill Dinkers, a 35,891-square-foot pickleball facility that marked the growing franchise's entry into the Atlanta market at the same development. The property is owned by Atlanta-based Ackerman & Co. and Belgium-based Baltisse, with leasing representation handled by Ackerman Retail's Kelly Wilson, Suzanne Shank, and Patrick Green for ownership, while Sarah Williams of COUNCIL Real Estate represented Sola Salon Studios.
Leo Wiener, President of Ackerman Retail, expressed enthusiasm about welcoming Sola Salon Studios to the development, noting that this addition supports their vision of creating a dynamic mixed-use destination that brings together diverse businesses and retailers while creating career growth opportunities for beauty professionals. The location at 1200 White Street will provide health and beauty professionals with access to educational resources and cutting-edge technology solutions through Sola Salon Studios' established business support platform available at www.ackermanco.com.
The development is part of broader revitalization efforts in Atlanta's West End, which includes Lee + White, a 442,000-square-foot redevelopment of the area's former "Warehouse Row" that has become an entertainment and business hub co-owned by Ackerman with MDH Partners. This expansion demonstrates the ongoing transformation of industrial spaces into vibrant community hubs while supporting small business growth in the beauty industry through private studio opportunities that alleviate the risks associated with traditional salon ownership.
