MAHLE Dayton has reached a significant milestone, celebrating 100 years of manufacturing excellence and innovation in the automotive industry. The Dayton, Ohio facility, a pivotal part of MAHLE's North American operations, has been at the forefront of producing thermal management products for automotive customers since 1925. Today, the facility spans over 1.2 million square feet and plays a crucial role in MAHLE's strategy for thermal management and fluids in North America, catering to internal combustion, hybrid, and fully electric vehicles.

Jumana Al-Sibai, a member of the MAHLE Group Management Board for Thermal and Fluid Systems, highlighted the facility's contribution to the automotive sector, stating, "Our facility supplies major automotive manufacturers across North America, reinforcing its reputation for quality, reliability, and innovation." This commitment underscores MAHLE's dedication to the USA as a key location for production and employment in North America.

The anniversary celebration on August 10, 2025, brought together MAHLE representatives and local officials to honor the nearly 1,000 skilled team members who contribute to the facility's success. MAHLE Dayton specializes in manufacturing essential thermal components, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) modules, radiators, engine cooling modules, and viscous fan clutch drives, all critical for passenger comfort and vehicle efficiency.

Strategically located at the intersection of three major transportation routes, the Dayton plant is well-equipped to meet the future demands of electrification and energy-efficient thermal systems. The facility's history traces back to 1925, evolving through various ownerships before MAHLE acquired it in 2013 as part of its expansion in thermal management production in the USA.

With 15 locations across the USA and a workforce of nearly 5,000 in 2024, MAHLE is poised to enhance its presence and activities in the country. This expansion is part of the company's broader strategy to develop products that shape the future of mobility, emphasizing sustainability and innovation in the automotive industry.
