Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, conducted a comprehensive Bible examination focused exclusively on the Book of Revelation on August 18th across major Tanzanian cities including Dar es Salaam. The event attracted 138 participants comprising 40 Shincheonji Church members and 98 local Protestant pastors, all undertaking an assessment consisting of 10 main questions and 33 sub-questions derived from Revelation.

The examination results revealed a dramatic disparity in biblical understanding between the two groups. Shincheonji Church members achieved an average score of 95 points, while Protestant pastors averaged merely 7 points. This significant difference underscores the varying levels of scriptural familiarity among religious practitioners despite shared Christian foundations. The church clarified that the examination's purpose was not to establish superiority but to provide individuals with an opportunity to evaluate their faith and deepen their relationship with God through scriptural engagement.

One participating pastor reflected on the experience, stating that observing Shincheonji members confidently providing correct answers prompted serious self-reflection regarding personal faith and pastoral calling. The pastor committed to studying Revelation through the Shincheonji Zion Christian Mission Center to better guide congregation members toward spiritual understanding and heavenly attainment.

Shincheonji Church of Jesus Chairman Lee Man-hee has consistently emphasized Revelation 22:18–19, asserting that heavenly entry requires complete understanding and adherence to Revelation's words without addition or subtraction. Chairman Lee further maintains that the standard for distinguishing truth from falsehood and orthodoxy from heresy resides not in human tradition or doctrine but exclusively in biblical scripture. This theological position forms the foundation of the church's educational approach and examination methodology.

The Tanzania event follows a similar Bible examination conducted in Korea during 2024, where only one church pastor participated among 313 total examinees. A Shincheonji Church representative explained that these examinations serve not merely as knowledge tests but as confirmations of whether faith genuinely rests upon God's word. The representative expressed gratitude for increasing participation from domestic and international pastors while expressing hope for continued biblical unity among churches and believers through scripture-centered fellowship.

Since its establishment in 2018, Shincheonji Tanzania Church has experienced continuous growth, currently numbering 2,440 members as of August 2025. The church maintains ongoing efforts to propagate Bible-centered faith through collaborative engagement with local pastoral communities, positioning scriptural literacy as fundamental to spiritual development and religious harmony.
