The Little Gym, a globally recognized child development and gymnastics program, is expanding its reach to Plymouth, with its grand opening scheduled for August 9, 2025. This new facility, spanning over 4,000 square feet, aims to serve children aged four months through 12 years, offering them a unique blend of fun and developmental activities. The initiative is spearheaded by local owners Pete and Kristen Marshall, who were inspired by their personal experiences with the program and their desire to contribute positively to the community.

Located in Plymouth, The Little Gym will not only provide a venue for children to engage in physical activities but also create a supportive environment for parents. The Marshalls, drawing from their own journey as parents and now grandparents, emphasize the importance of such spaces in fostering family bonds and community support. The gym will introduce 10 new jobs to the area, further contributing to the local economy.

Managed by Sara Hall, a Pembroke native with extensive experience in gymnastics, The Little Gym of Plymouth is committed to offering programs that enhance children's coordination, listening, and intellectual skills through movement-based learning and imaginative play. From Parent/Child classes to pre-K and grade school gymnastics, the programs are designed to cater to various age groups and developmental stages. Additionally, the gym will host Awesome Birthday Bashes, Camps, Parent Survival Nights, and Member Events, enriching the community's recreational options.

The Little Gym's approach is rooted in its Three-Dimensional Learning philosophy, which focuses on physical, cognitive, and social and emotional development. With nearly 400 locations across 31 countries, the program has a proven track record of helping children achieve developmental milestones while building self-confidence. The Plymouth location will operate from 9am to 7pm daily, except Fridays, and is poised to become a cornerstone for child development in the area.
