The 10th edition of CENTRESTAGE, Asia's annual fashion extravaganza organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and sponsored by the Culture and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA), has achieved record-breaking participation with over 260 brands from 25 countries and regions. This milestone event, running from September 3 to 6 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre with free admission, represents the largest and most international edition to date, solidifying Hong Kong's position as Asia's fashion hub.
Sophia Chong, Deputy Executive Director of the HKTDC, emphasized the event's decade-long commitment to providing a platform for designers from Hong Kong and Asia to showcase their work and exchange ideas. The fair's expanded scale includes six themed zones covering accessories, athleisure, circular fashion, craftsmanship, contemporary design, and urban street style, addressing diverse market demands and industry trends.
For the first time, the United Kingdom participates as Partner Country, presenting 16 British brands including sustainable designer Patrick McDowell. International participation extends across multiple pavilions, with Thailand bringing its largest contingent of over 40 brands, Czechia showcasing traditional glass craftsmanship through LINDA PRO handbags, and Canada highlighting cultural diversity through female, indigenous, and multicultural designers. Additional pavilions from Japan, Australia, Korea, Macao, Philippines, and nine first-time participating countries further enhance the global representation.
The event features more than 40 activities, including approximately 30 runway shows—the highest number in the fair's history. The Fashion Hong Kong Runway Show celebrated its 10th anniversary by presenting creative collections from four local brands: ANGUS TSUI, ARTY:ACTIVE, IP AXIS INDUSTRIAL STUDIO, and selfFab. International fashion icons contribute significantly to the program, with internationally acclaimed couturier Guo Pei presenting her "Gilternity: An Everlasting Radiance" collection and hosting a master sharing session on September 4. Legendary fashion figure Professor Jimmy Choo OBE conducted the "Meet the Fashion Legend" session, introducing the JCA - London Fashion Academy and showcasing emerging designers' works.
Sustainability and circular fashion receive prominent attention through dedicated zones and events. The Circular Fashion zone showcases eco-conscious design, while non-profit organization Redress hosts the Redress Design Award Grand Final, marking its 15th cycle of promoting sustainable fashion practices. The fair also features forums on fashion design, circular fashion, and sustainability, fostering industry dialogue and collaboration toward more environmentally responsible practices.
The Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers' Contest (YDC) grand final on September 6 represents a crucial platform for nurturing new talent, with British designer Charles Jeffrey of Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY serving as guest judge. The competition includes four award categories, and public voting for the My Favourite Collection award offers participants the chance to win shopping vouchers through online voting at https://bit.ly/YDC2025_IG_Vote_Now.
Beyond exhibitions and runway shows, CENTRESTAGE offers interactive experiences including AI workshops where visitors can design and create their own fashion accessories. Local fragrance brand CitiScent developed a bespoke scent for the event, available as samples with onsite purchases. The fair runs concurrently with the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair and Salon de TE, creating a comprehensive fashion experience where apparel and timepieces converge, with visitors eligible for the CENTRESTAGE x Watch & Clock Lucky Draw.
Event details and registration information are available through official channels including the main website at www.centrestage.com.hk and buyer pre-registration at https://bit.ly/4m8mv33.
