Easy Environmental Solutions Expands to Kenya with Waste-to-Fertilizer Technology to Combat Food Insecurity

Easy Environmental Solutions Inc. has announced receiving the full down payment for its first EasyFEN waste-to-liquid microbial fertilizer unit destined for Kenya, with shipment expected within 90 to 120 days. This milestone establishes the company's official launch in Kenya and initiates a potential large-scale initiative to combat food insecurity and soil degradation in a region where hunger remains critical.

CEO Mark Gaalswyk described this as a historic moment for both the company and African agriculture, emphasizing that the EasyFEN system combines sustainability with profitability and scalability. The system is designed to create lasting value for investors while transforming agriculture for entire nations, demonstrating that environmental responsibility can deliver strong financial returns.

At full capacity, a single EasyFEN unit is projected to generate approximately $19 million in recurring annual revenue, creating a scalable, high-margin growth model for the company and its shareholders. This financial model supports the technology's deployment in regions where it's most needed.

The expansion comes at a crucial time for Kenya, where one-third of the population lives below the poverty level and 29% of children in rural regions suffer from stunted growth due to famine. With 80% of the country's land area being arid or semi-arid, growing nutritious food presents significant challenges exacerbated by climate change and inefficient food systems.

Africa faces widespread agricultural challenges, with approximately two-thirds of the continent classified as arid or semi-arid. Desertification, worsened by climate change, has led to starvation and created an urgent need for solutions. As of 2023, one in five people in Africa was experiencing hunger, and by 2030, projections indicate 582 million people globally will be undernourished, with over half residing in Africa.

The EasyFEN Modular Microbe Fertilizer System represents a decentralized, fully automatic solution described as a Fertilizer Plant in a Box that can be deployed at rural agricultural co-ops and communities worldwide. The system converts local community waste into Terreplenish, an organic microbial fertilizer made from recycled green biomass, food, and crop waste specifically designed for lifeless, unproductive soil.

Each unit can process two tons of biomass per hour, producing up to 2.7 million gallons of Terreplenish annually. Validated by over 100 independent studies and backed by more than a decade of field data, Terreplenish restores soil health, boosts yields, and reduces irrigation or rainfall needs by up to 20%. Just two gallons per acre delivers 45-60 pounds of nitrogen and 15-20 pounds of phosphorus, enabling each unit to treat 1.35 million acres of farmland annually.

Additional benefits include improved plant growth, reduced chemical dependence, and support for sustainable, regenerative farming practices that strengthen soil health against fungal threats without chemicals. Once operational, an EasyFEN unit can produce enough Terreplenish annually to support food production for more than five million people.

The company's expansion beyond Kenya is already underway, with Terreplenish samples delivered to Congo, Tanzania, and Somalia, where field trials have exceeded expectations. Bakry Osman, Director of Africa Operations, emphasized that this initiative focuses on sovereignty, stability, and long-term agricultural independence rather than short-term fixes, with a goal of deploying Terreplenish in every African country by 2027.

Nate Carpenter, Vice President of Global Operations - Eastern Hemisphere, stated that the EasyFEN system represents a new gold standard for addressing famine and water scarcity, offering high profits for developers and affordable pricing for farmers. As desertification worsens and starvation increases across Africa, this technology could mark the beginning of a revolutionary agricultural shift for the continent.
