Signarama, the world's leading sign and graphics franchise, announced its support of First Tee, a nonprofit youth development organization that empowers children and teenagers through golf while helping them develop character and life skills. The partnership establishes Signarama as a National Impact Partner and includes a grant program available to more than 100 First Tee Chapters across the United States.
First Tee began in 1997 through a partnership among leading golf organizations to make the sport affordable and accessible for all children. The organization introduced both the game of golf and a life skills curriculum that supports young people's development of self-confidence, resiliency skills, and inner strength. For more than two decades, First Tee has been committed to helping children build character and important life skills by providing fun and safe personal growth opportunities at golf courses, schools, and community centers throughout the country.
Signarama President A.J. Titus stated that the partnership reflects the company's commitment to supporting national programs that make positive impacts in local communities while inspiring future generations of leaders. The timing of this partnership comes at a critical moment when youth organizations face increasing challenges in securing adequate funding and visibility for their programs.
From October 1 through October 31, First Tee chapters can apply for identification signage, facility signage, or vehicle graphics through the grant program. Signarama will provide up to $75,000 in grants for signage at First Tee Chapters, with grantees being notified by December 2025. The grants can be used for various signage needs including event signage such as banners and feather flags to generate more attention at events, as well as removable yard signs to highlight donors both on and off the golf course.
Branding signage options include facility signage like wall murals, donor recognition plaques, and interior signage to showcase First Tee's mission and values. Vehicle graphics represent another significant component of the grant program, allowing chapters to use their vehicles as mobile advertisements for their mission through vehicle lettering, removable magnets, and partial or full wraps on all types of vehicles including trailers and golf carts. Jennifer Weiler, First Tee's senior vice president of network relations, emphasized that the grants from Signarama will help bring visibility to the important work their chapters are doing in communities nationwide. She expressed gratitude for Signarama's commitment to First Tee's mission of empowering children through golf. This partnership represents a strategic alignment between corporate resources and nonprofit mission delivery that could serve as a model for other businesses seeking to make meaningful community impacts.
The collaboration between Signarama and First Tee demonstrates how corporate partnerships can extend beyond financial contributions to provide specialized expertise and resources that directly support organizational operations and visibility. For organizations like First Tee that rely on community awareness and engagement, professional signage can significantly enhance their ability to attract participants, secure additional funding, and maintain consistent branding across multiple locations.
