D1 Training Expands Athletic Fitness Programs to Clermont Community

D1 Training has opened a new location in Clermont at 2631 S. HWY 27, Suite 101, bringing its athletic-based fitness concept to the metro Orlando area. The facility employs certified trainers who implement a sports-science backed training regimen designed to help people of all ages achieve their sport and fitness goals through the brand's five core tenets of athletic-based training.

The Clermont location is owned by London Dewey and Ron Zmuda, who join a roster of franchisees that includes professional athletes like Kylie Fitts and Jordan Gay, along with notable partners such as NBA star Chris Paul and Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow. The husband-and-wife team brings local expertise to the operation, both having been raised in the Orlando area and sharing a passion for fitness that aligns with the D1 Training philosophy.

London Dewey, a former high school athlete and University of Florida graduate, transitioned from chemical engineering to entrepreneurship, inspired by her family's business background. Ron Zmuda, also a UF graduate with additional education from University of Central Florida, has built his career as a small business attorney. As parents of two young children, they particularly value D1 Training's family-oriented approach that allows them to participate alongside their children while helping others achieve fitness objectives.

D1 Training addresses what the owners identified as a significant gap in the local fitness market, particularly regarding programs for children. The facility offers four distinct age-based programs: Rookie for ages 7-11, Developmental for ages 12-14, Prep for ages 15-18, and D1 Adult for older athletes.
