The Palm Beach Symphony is preparing for its Ninth Annual Holly Jolly Symphony Fête on December 8, with this year's silent auction promising to be more substantial than previous years following a successful gift-gathering party. The event, which serves as a major fundraiser for the symphony's educational initiatives, will take place in the Cohen Pavilion at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach beginning at 10:30 a.m.
More than fifty guests contributed silent auction items at a recent gift-gathering party hosted at Palm Beach Design Masters, where attendees brought musical instruments, gift cards, fine jewelry, home décor, dining experiences, wine and spirits, luxury eyewear, paintings, designer travel accessories, and distinctive items for children, women, and men. The event was sponsored by Holly Jolly chairs Mary and Will Demory and Palm Beach Design Masters, with design and décor provided by Joy Jalaeikhoo and Carl Vasile.
The silent auction represents a critical fundraising component for Palm Beach Symphony's educational programs, particularly the Instrument Donation Program that provides musical instruments to promising young students throughout Palm Beach County. Since the program's inception in 2016, the symphony has distributed 944 instruments along with more than 3,316 accessories and pieces of equipment to local schools and music programs.
During the Holly Jolly luncheon, students, educators, and music programs from Woodlands Middle School, The Conservatory School @ North Palm Beach, and Plumosa School of the Arts will receive instrument donations, demonstrating the immediate impact of the fundraising efforts. The event will also feature the presentation of the 2025 Instrumental Music Teacher of the Year Award, recognizing excellence in music education.
Tickets for the Holly Jolly Symphony Fête are available for $300 per person through the symphony's website at https://palmbeachsymphony.org/support/holly-jolly. Major sponsors supporting the event include FINDLAY Galleries, Palm Beach Design Masters, and Private Cask Imports, Inc., reflecting strong community and business support for the symphony's mission.
The educational programs supported by these fundraising efforts receive additional backing from numerous foundations and individual donors, including The Paul and Sandra Goldner Conservatory of Music, Ray K. Farris, The McNulty Charitable Foundation, and James R. Borynack and Adolfo Zaralegui through FINDLAY Galleries. Additional support comes from the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County Arts and Cultural Education Fund and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Palm Beach Symphony's broader sponsorship network includes numerous individual and family foundations that enable the organization to maintain its world-class music programming while expanding educational outreach. The symphony's commitment to community engagement was recognized by The Cultural Council for Palm Beach County with a 2020 Muse Award for Outstanding Community Engagement, highlighting the organization's significant impact beyond performance venues.
The Holly Jolly Symphony Fête represents more than just a holiday celebration—it serves as a vital mechanism for sustaining music education accessibility throughout Palm Beach County. By converting donated luxury items and experiences into educational resources, the symphony creates a sustainable model for arts funding that benefits both donors seeking meaningful philanthropic opportunities and students gaining access to musical instruments and instruction that might otherwise be unavailable to them.
