The Works Transforms into Holiday Destination with Indoor Christmas Tree Lot and Festive Activities

The Works, an 80-acre mixed-use development in Atlanta's Upper Westside owned by Selig Enterprises, is launching its "All The Joyful Things" holiday celebration starting November 1. The seasonal transformation brings numerous first-time experiences to the community, including an inaugural indoor Christmas tree lot partnership with Big John's Christmas Trees, live reindeer appearances, and multiple Santa visit opportunities.

Taana Kow-Mayes, Director of Marketing and Placemaking at Selig, emphasized the community-focused nature of the holiday programming. The celebration aims to bring families and neighbors together through festive activities, shopping, dining, and memory-making opportunities throughout the holiday season.

The centerpiece of this year's celebration is the debut of Big John's Christmas Trees, operating from November 18 to December 23. Located off Chattahoochee Avenue next to Ballard Designs, this unique indoor/outdoor setting allows shoppers to browse fresh-cut Christmas trees and handcrafted wreaths regardless of weather conditions. The tree lot will host a grand opening celebration on November 22 with extended hours from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

Santa experiences form another significant component of the holiday programming. The Real Black Santa will host photo sessions on November 8, November 15, and December 13 in Suite 200A across from The Camp. While photos are complimentary, donations are encouraged to support Agape Youth and Family Center. Additional Santa sightings will occur throughout The Works on November 30, December 3, 4, 11, and 12, with location details available via https://www.worksatl.com/holiday.

Live reindeer will make a special appearance during Reindeer Games at The Camp on December 5 from 6 to 9 p.m., providing unique photo opportunities and family-friendly activities. The holiday programming also includes musical performances, with Tinseltone Carolers scheduled for November 22 from 3 to 6 p.m. coinciding with the Christmas tree lot opening, and Christmas Back Home featuring Scott Thompson performing at The Camp on November 29 from 2 to 5 p.m.

Pet owners can participate in Holiday Pet Pics with Woof Gang on November 29 from 1 to 5 p.m., while dance enthusiasts can enjoy Disco Santa: Beanies + Beats featuring a live DJ at The Camp on December 6 from 2 to 5 p.m. The Works' 30+ tenants will contribute to the holiday atmosphere with their own special events, including Y3S hosting Friendsgiving on November 26, Black Friday promotions, and New Year's Eve celebrations.

Chattahoochee Food Works will bring back its annual Jingle Bar starting November 28, serving festive cocktails throughout the holiday season. Additional creative workshops include Adelina Social Goods hosting a Cocktails for a Crowd class on November 9 and a Holiday Gift Wrap Workshop on December 7. The community can also participate in an Ugly Sweater Party on December 13 and various holiday hangouts at tenant locations.

For holiday shoppers, The Works offers numerous local retail options including Ballard Designs, Swan Space, Eric Austin Custom, Adelina Social Goods, and Love Train Antiques & Home. Athletic-wear brand BAIR by Bria will host a pop-up on December 13 and 14, while wellness services remain available through Stellar Bodies' holiday workouts, Tinte salon, AYA Medical Spa, and Les Main Nail Bar.
