Valencia by FivePoint Expands Outdoor Amenities with New Parks and Community Spaces

Valencia by FivePoint recently celebrated the opening of two new community parks, further enriching outdoor options for residents and their guests. The new parks represent an extension of FivePoint's commitment to creating inviting outdoor settings for people and their pets to enjoy. Verve Park, connecting to the Eastlink greenway, features roomy lawns, a kids' playground, an outdoor fitness zone, and handy bike racks. Future additions include a ValenciaGO mobility hub, and the park also includes a community clubhouse that residents can reserve for parties, meetings, and private events.

The November 1 opening of Riparian Park added even more choices for Valencia residents. Located just above Verve Park on Riparian Avenue, Riparian is a new park of the Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation Department. It features basketball courts, a sports field, and a playground, plus family picnic areas, trails, and native landscapes. These additions complement Valencia's existing outdoor infrastructure, where approximately 10,000 of the community's 15,000 acres are dedicated to permanently protected open space interwoven with diverse discovery points and biking, hiking, and pedestrian trails.

Award-winning Confluence Park serves as a community core with expansive lawns for family picnics and special events like Movie Night, Boo Bash, and holiday celebrations. Resort-style features include a lap pool, kiddie pool, spa, and cabanas. The park also holds a large Community Garden where all ages are welcomed to join the Gardening Club. The Eastlink Greenway connects diverse destinations within Valencia through a network of walking, biking, and Neighborhood Electric Vehicle paths that currently connect to Confluence and Verve Parks and will lead to more parks and open space in the future.

The community's emphasis on outdoor living extends to practical amenities like a pump track for cycling enthusiasts, bike repair stands, and shaded pavilions for relaxing. Throughout Valencia, outdoor seating niches, small parks, and sidewalk systems invite enjoyment without requiring residents to drive. Adjacent trails make it easy to hike from home and connect with regional networks, contributing to what residents describe as a friendly fabric of a neighborly small town.

The Valencia Farmers Market offers another community gathering point, open to residents and visitors every Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The market features fresh produce and artisan fare from Valencia's surrounding areas, along with special presentations geared to the seasons. Further highlighting the market is The Wandering Shelf, a pop-up mobile bookshop that underscores FivePoint's commitment to education in the Santa Clarita Valley. Additional information about community events and amenities can be found at https://www.valencia.com.

Located in the heart of Los Angeles County's Santa Clarita Valley, Valencia provides convenient access to retail, dining options, and area job centers via adjacency to I-5. The community also offers proximity to educational institutions including Cal Arts, College of the Canyons, and top-ranked school districts. Elementary school children attend either the Newhall School District or Saugus School District, while the William S. Hart District serves junior high and high school students.

Valencia homes feature sustainable design elements including low-E windows, upgraded insulation, rooftop solar systems, and tankless water heaters with closed loop systems. Some homes provide flow meters at main water lines and solar data that can help owners monitor water usage and energy production. Level 2 electric vehicle chargers are planned for existing and future homes, reflecting the community's forward-thinking approach to residential development.
