Noble Mineral Exploration Inc. announced that drilling has commenced on a 500-meter hole in Carnegie Township near Timmins, Ontario, Canada. The drill program is part of a 50/50 partnership with 11530313 Canada Inc. and will include two 500-meter holes located to follow up on drilling done in 2019. Recent analysis of downhole geophysics from that program indicated that conductors may have been missed, and additional down hole geophysics will be conducted on the new holes.
An additional 1,000 meters across two holes have been scheduled for Southwest Carnegie Township in early 2026, after freeze-up, due to swampy conditions at the proposed drill site. The program is being carried out on lands recently transferred to Canada Nickel, but on which Noble retains a 5-year Exploration Right for volcanogenic massive sulphide mineralization and precious metals.
Vance White, President and CEO of Noble, stated that the company is pleased to get this program started with the support of partners at 11530313 Canada Inc., noting that the search for mineralization similar to the Kidd Creek Mine continues. The technical content of the release was reviewed and approved by Wayne Holmstead, P.Geo., an independent Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101.
The drilling initiative represents a strategic follow-up to previous exploration efforts, with the potential to identify previously overlooked mineral conductors. This matters because the Timmins area is part of the prolific Abitibi Greenstone Belt, one of the world's most productive gold and base metal mining districts. Successful exploration could lead to the discovery of new mineral deposits, contributing to resource development and economic activity in Northern Ontario.
For investors and the mining industry, the program highlights Noble's active exploration portfolio and partnership strategy. The company maintains extensive mineral rights across Northern Ontario, Quebec, and Labrador, including Project 81, which hosts diversified drill-ready gold, nickel-cobalt, and base metal targets. The implications of this announcement extend to regional economic development, as mineral discoveries can create jobs, infrastructure investments, and long-term mining operations. For the global mining sector, exploration in established districts like Timmins demonstrates the ongoing potential for new discoveries even in well-explored areas, supported by advancing geophysical techniques. The program also illustrates how junior exploration companies like Noble collaborate with partners to advance projects while managing exploration rights on lands transferred to other entities.
