ComedyVillage.com is offering an alternative to the traditional Times Square New Year's Eve experience with two comedy shows on December 31, located just a four-minute walk from the heart of the celebrations. While over one million people typically crowd into Times Square viewing zones where they must stand for hours without access to seating, food, alcohol, or public restrooms, Comedy Village provides reserved seats, indoor facilities, and refreshments in a warm venue.
The venue will host two shows: an 8:00 PM performance running until 9:30 PM, ideal for guests who want to enjoy comedy before exploring Times Square later, and a 10:00 PM show running until 11:30 PM that includes a built-in New Year's countdown. The later show pauses shortly before midnight so attendees can celebrate together indoors, watching the ball drop live on the club's monitors before optionally entering Times Square to experience the post-midnight energy. Party favors and a complimentary champagne toast are provided at the 10:00 PM show.
Tickets are priced at $50 per person for the 8:00 PM show and $65 for the 10:00 PM show. Both shows feature top comedic talent including Dante Nero from NBC's Blacklist and "Chappelle Show," Eagle Witt from MTV's "Wild 'N Out," and PJ Landers seen on Netflix. Landers, who owns Comedy Village, expressed enthusiasm about the venue's second New Year's Eve in Times Square, noting the unique opportunity to celebrate near the ball drop with laughter and community.
The venue's location at 352 West 44th Street places guests close enough to experience the excitement of Times Square while avoiding the strict street-level restrictions. Landers emphasized the comfort and convenience of the offering, stating that attendees can enjoy food, drinks, a comedy show, and clean restrooms before stepping back into the New Year's atmosphere. Tickets are available now, with both shows expected to sell out.
