Hong Kong technology companies achieved significant recognition and generated substantial international interest during their largest-ever participation at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 in Las Vegas. The Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) and Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) led a delegation of 61 companies to the event from January 6-9, with the Hong Kong Tech Pavilion attracting dozens of international brands, industry leaders, and investors within the first two days alone. This participation provides local tech firms with crucial access to overseas markets while highlighting Hong Kong's research and development capabilities and its role as an international innovation and technology hub.
The Hong Kong Tech Pavilion featured innovations across multiple sectors including advanced materials and sustainable technology, artificial intelligence and data, digital transformation, electronics and robotics, and life and health technologies. Three Hong Kong companies received prestigious CES Innovation Awards 2026, demonstrating the quality of local innovation. Widemount Dynamics Tech earned the Best of Innovation award in the "Product in Support of Human Security for All" category for its Smart Firefighting Robot. Eieling and PointFit were honored in the "Digital Health" category for their respective innovations: the FattaLab® device, described as the world's first intelligence-driven compact fatty liver diagnostic tool, and the PF-Sweat Patch, a patented ultra-thin biomarkers tracking wearable.
