PNE Group Secures Permits for Two German Wind Farms with 54 MW Combined Capacity

The PNE Group received necessary permits under the German Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG) during the fourth quarter of 2025 for two wind energy projects in Germany. These permits authorize the construction and operation of the 'Am Heilborn' wind farm in Thuringia and the repowering of the 'Hassendorf' wind farm in Lower Saxony.

For the 'Am Heilborn' project, consisting of sections 'Am Heilborn I' and 'Am Heilborn II', five Vestas V172 wind turbines with a nominal output of 7.2 MW each are planned. This configuration gives the wind farm a total nominal output of 36.0 MW. The company also secured the second partial permit for repowering the Hassendorf wind farm, concerning an additional Vestas V150 wind turbine with 6 MW nominal output. Two turbines of the same type had already been permitted in June 2025, making the project fully permitted with three turbines totaling 18 MW nominal output.

Combined, the two wind farms will have a total installed nominal output of 54 MW. Once operational, they will be capable of supplying electricity to approximately 24,600 three-person households annually. This capacity represents a significant contribution to sustainable energy supply and supports implementation of energy transition objectives in the respective regions.

Roland Stanze, COO of PNE AG, stated that these permits represent an important step for the company's growing project portfolio in Germany. He emphasized that they demonstrate PNE's expertise in complex permit procedures and establish a foundation for expanding generation capacities while supporting an economical and sustainable energy transition. The PNE Group, listed on the SDAX, has operated for over 30 years as an experienced project developer in onshore and offshore wind farms, with a portfolio covering all project phases from site investigation to operation and repowering.

The company's broader role as a Clean Energy Solutions Provider includes services for the entire lifecycle of wind farms and photovoltaic plants, along with battery storage solutions for more efficient use of renewable energies. These developments occur within Germany's broader context of accelerating renewable energy deployment to meet climate targets. The permits enable PNE Group to advance concrete projects that translate policy objectives into operational infrastructure, potentially influencing regional energy markets and demonstrating the viability of wind energy projects in Germany's regulatory environment.
