The City of Boerne has announced its 2026 calendar of automotive events, showcasing the community's vibrant car culture through a series of classic car shows, European motor gatherings, and community celebrations. The schedule includes nine major events throughout the year, each designed to highlight different aspects of automotive history while supporting local nonprofits and businesses.
The 2026 event lineup begins with the Power of the Past vintage car, engine, and tractor show on March 7, celebrating 40 years of The AgriCultural Museum & Arts Center. This event features live music, reenactors, food vendors, and awards for Top 30 Vehicles, Best in Show Car & Truck. Later in March, the seventh annual Italian Motor Gathering on March 28 will showcase Italian marques at Main Plaza, free for spectators.
April brings the 33rd annual Texas Corvette Association Open Car Show on April 18, featuring nearly 500 Corvettes and classic vehicles on Main Street with live music, food trucks, and a silent auction. Proceeds from this event benefit SJRC Texas. The same day marks the first of three Black Rifle Block Parties hosted by Black Rifle Coffee Company, with additional events scheduled for July 4 and September 26, each featuring live music, food, and a car show.
October features three significant automotive events: the Hill Country Mile Rod Run hosted by Cibolo Creek Motor Club from October 2-4, open to all American cars, trucks and motorcycles from 1985 and older; the South Texas All British Car Day on October 24 showcasing British-made automobiles at Main Plaza; and the German Motor Gathering on October 31, described as the premier exhibition of German motoring in the Texas Hill Country, open to all German marques on two or four wheels and free for spectators.
These events represent more than just automotive displays, according to Tori Bellos, Marketing Specialist at Visit Boerne. "Our events are more than just car shows, they're celebrations of community, history and Texas pride," Bellos said. "Whether you're a collector, a spectator, or just love being around cars, there's something for everyone." The events blend automotive appreciation with local tradition while supporting local nonprofits, museums and family-owned small businesses along the Hill Country Mile.
Vehicle registration, schedules, and parking maps are available online. Many events are free for spectators and include live music, food vendors, and family-friendly activities. The full calendar of Boerne, Texas events, dates, and locations can be viewed at Boerne Calendar of Events in 2026.
Bellos emphasized the broader significance of Boerne's automotive culture, stating, "Boerne's car culture is about passion, preservation and pride. From vintage American automobiles to exotic international motors, it's a celebration of automotive history and Texas heritage." The 2026 event schedule demonstrates how automotive enthusiasm can serve as a catalyst for community engagement, economic support for local businesses, and charitable fundraising while preserving automotive history for future generations.
