Golden Cariboo Resources Reports Significant Gold Intercept at Quesnelle Property

TL;DR

Golden Cariboo Resources' near-surface gold discovery at its Quesnelle property offers investors a potential advantage in a promising mineralized zone.

Drill hole QGQ25-27 intersected 0.89 g/t gold over 70.65m from 14.20m depth, analyzed using ICP-AES and PhotonAssay methods for accuracy.

This gold discovery could support local economic development in British Columbia through responsible mining and job creation.

Golden Cariboo Resources Reports Significant Gold Intercept at Quesnelle Property

Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. has announced drill results from its Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property located 4 kilometers northeast of Hixon, British Columbia. The company reported that drill hole QGQ25-27 intersected 0.89 grams per tonne gold over 70.65 meters from a near-surface depth of 14.20 meters within the Halo zone. This intercept represents continuous gold mineralization extending approximately 231.79 feet.

The drilling program included multiple holes with varying results. Drill hole QGQ25-26 intersected 0.47 grams per tonne gold over 4.44 meters and 0.56 grams per tonne gold over 4.09 meters. The company noted that recovery from the first interval of QGQ25-26 approximated only 15.8%, and the hole intersected large quantities of andesitic flow, which is not favorable for quartz veining. Drill hole QGQ25-27 was terminated prematurely due to technical issues, while drill hole QGQ25-28 is currently ongoing, testing the northwest extension of the Halo zone.

Frank Callaghan, President and CEO of Golden Cariboo Resources, stated that intersecting nearly 71 meters of continuous gold mineralization from near surface provides strong indication of the scale and continuity developing within the Halo zone. These results reinforce confidence that the company is delineating a significant mineralized system at the Quesnelle Gold Quartz property. As drilling continues to expand the Halo zone and test the broader trend, each hole adds to the dataset that will support the company's planned mineral resource estimate.

The technical aspects of the drilling program followed rigorous quality assurance protocols. Quality control samples, including blanks, standards and coarse reject duplicates, constituted 5% of the total number of samples. All drilling utilized NQ core, which was logged then split in half before being sent to the laboratory. Samples were analyzed at the accredited MSALABS laboratory in Prince George using both aqua regia digest with inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy for 35-element analysis and PhotonAssay™ analysis for gold and silver. The PhotonAssay™ method uses larger sample sizes (250-500 grams) compared to traditional fire assay methods, providing more thorough assessment of gold distribution in coarse gold settings characteristic of the Halo zone.

The geological significance of these findings extends beyond the immediate drill results. The Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property is situated along a favorable corridor adjacent to the Spanish and Eureka thrust faults over a 94,899 hectare area. Historically, over 101 placer gold creeks on the 90-kilometer trend from the Cariboo Hudson mine north to the Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property have recorded production, with successful placer mining continuing to this day. The property includes the Quesnelle Quartz gold-silver deposit discovered in 1865 and developed over a footprint of about 150 meters by 150 meters at the Main zone straddling Hixon Creek.
