Boerne Independent School District has launched Constellations, a dynamic digital magazine developed through collaboration between district leadership and the creative studio Manifestive Design. The publication represents a strategic effort to create a cohesive communication system that unifies voices across campuses while reflecting the pride, excellence, and forward momentum of the entire organization. According to Dr. Kristin Craft, Boerne ISD Superintendent, the digital publication provides a glimpse into what the district is about, where it is headed, and why many families have chosen Boerne as their home for generations.
The magazine serves a growing and high-achieving Texas Hill Country community that required more than a traditional publication. Constellations includes several key components: an overview of the Boerne Advantage and what makes the district unique, inspirational stories about every campus submitted by respective principals, a full listing of High School UIL achievements, a comprehensive district bond update, and noteworthy achievements throughout Boerne ISD. The written content was developed collaboratively by Dr. Kristin Craft, Dr. Maggie Dominguez, Boerne ISD Executive Director of Communications, and campus principals to ensure authentic, district-wide representation.
Manifestive Design transformed this content into a visually stunning experience featuring custom-illustrated constellations representing each campus's mascot and a beautifully rendered Boerne ISD galaxy accurately plotted in relation to the district's geographic footprint. Every page was carefully crafted to deliver energy, rhythm, and beauty, turning stories into a publication the district can be proud to share. The design approach demonstrates how strategic thinking combined with distinctive visual storytelling can create meaningful brand experiences across digital platforms.
The Constellations campaign extended beyond the magazine itself, with Boerne ISD announcing the first publication at their State of the District event held at the Cana Ballroom in Boerne. Manifestive Design developed a full communication suite to support the launch and ongoing impact, including a matching slide deck design for the State of the District presentation that incorporated visual storytelling, an email newsletter template design to promote the magazine, and social media post designs to amplify reach and engagement. Each deliverable was created within a unified visual framework, ensuring consistency across platforms while allowing individual stories to shine.
