The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will stage four flagship technology fairs this April at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, featuring over 3,700 exhibitors from 28 countries and regions. The events include InnoEX, jointly organised with the Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau of the HKSAR Government; the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition); the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition); and the Smart Lighting Expo. These gatherings represent significant opportunities for industry networking, cross-sector collaboration, and accessing the latest technological developments.
InnoEX and the Electronics Fair will run concurrently from April 13 to 16, showcasing innovation, technology applications, and cutting-edge electronic products. The lighting fairs will follow from April 20 to 23, presenting smart lighting solutions and innovative products. Jenny Koo, Deputy Executive Director of the HKTDC, stated that these events align with the National 15th Five-Year Plan and support Hong Kong's development into an international innovation and technology hub. A major highlight of this year's InnoEX is the debut of "RoboPark," featuring more than 100 robots across commercial, industrial, health, living, and entertainment applications. The zone includes four of the world's top five best-selling humanoid robot manufacturers from 2025: AgiBot, EngineAI, UBTECH, and Unitree. Other participants include companies from "Hangzhou's Six Little Dragons" and "Shenzhen's Eight Great Guardians of Embodied Intelligence," along with Hong Kong startups and overseas exhibitors. Approximately 40 events at RoboPark will facilitate technology exchange and market expansion.
InnoEX expands its global reach with exhibitors from 21 countries and regions, including pavilions from 17 Chinese mainland provinces and cities. Leading technology companies such as Huawei International, China Mobile Hong Kong, iFLYTEK, Tencent Cloud International, and Lenovo (Hong Kong) will participate. The Digital Policy Office of the HKSAR Government will host a large-scale "Smart Hong Kong Pavilion" themed "AI+ Hong Kong," featuring over 100 innovation and technology solutions across eight domains including public services, medical innovations, and infrastructure development.
For the first time, InnoEX will co-organize the "Low-Altitude Economy Conference" with the Working Group on Developing the Low-Altitude Economy, exploring policy trends and market potential. A dedicated zone will showcase applications from companies like Transcendence and Harmony SkyTech. All research and development centres established by the Hong Kong SAR Government will participate, including the newly merged Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute and Nano and Advanced Materials Institute.
The Electronics Fair will focus on AI-driven products across smart home solutions, health technology, and pet intelligence, with around 50 new product debuts. A "Startup Zone" will feature over 60 startups, while an "Immersive Experience Zone" will present VR, AR, and XR technologies. InnoEX and the Electronics Fair will jointly host more than 100 events, including seminars on human-centric AI and retail technology transformation. International participation includes a delegation from Kazakhstan led by the Vice-minister of AI and Digital Development.
The Smart Lighting Expo and Hong Kong International Lighting Fair, themed "Go Smart - Live Green," will gather approximately 900 exhibitors, including new participants from the Netherlands and Vietnam. Renowned brands like Foshan Electrical and Lighting, OPPLE Lighting, Shanghai Sansi, and Absen will showcase latest products. A new "Light Lab" will debut with scenario-based displays of smart lighting products, while the "Smart Commercial Display and Stage Audio-visual Zone" will feature energy-saving display technologies. These events form part of the Business of Innovation and Technology Week, which includes the 3rd Hong Kong World Youth Science Conference, the Hong Kong Web3 Festival 2026, and the International Academicians Hong Kong Forum. Concurrently, the World Internet Conference Asia-Pacific Summit will take place from April 13 to 14, focusing on regional innovation and technology. The convergence of these events strengthens Hong Kong's position as a regional digital hub and international innovation centre, offering substantial opportunities for business development and technological advancement across multiple sectors.
